Question by Danielle M: What skin care product to use for dry skin?
My forehead and nose are ridiculously dry, to the point of peeling. But I have topical acne (Not the deep kind) along my jawline and under my cheek bones. I'm trying to find a good skin care regimen that will treat my acne without drying out my skin even more than it already is. Any suggestions?

goldbond hand-sanitizer. it moisturizes, and gets rid of the acne like normal hand-sanitizer.
Well, i am a huge fan of clinique. I have always had acne, and I started using clinique moisturizers ad clinique even better or turnaround concentrates, and I’ve seen a huge improvement. Their moisturizers are not greasy. They are matte or gel like so they even out your skin tone, make it very smooth, and dont get oily and shiny. I love them. After I got on accutane, which cleared up my acne but made my skin very very dry, clinique was soooo great. I would recommend the moisture surge gel- its fantastic.
I have tried others like Murad, Cetaphil, Burts bees, lancome, etc…and clinique has been my favorite.
A few things might work.
Dr. Palmer’s Olive Oil Moisturiser
Regular Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Petroleum Jelly
Gold Bond Ultimate Formula
A facial mask that might helps is:
Half of an avocado, mashed
One egg white
1 Tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Mix together and apply to face. Let sit for how ever long you can and gently wash off.
A gentle, all natural soap will not strip your skin’s natural oil out as much. The face needs some oil in order to heal and protect the skin. Drink plenty of water and avoid makeup or astringent for a while until the skin is healed. If you must use makeup, only use Mineral makeup like Pink Quartz Mineral Makeup. Good luck =)
I recommend for you to:
-use a daily scrub/exfoliator
to get rid of the flaky skin and also get rid of acne
(such as st. ives apricot scrub black head and blemish control)
(use lukewarm water when washing, and do so in gentle circular motion)
-use a water-based moisturizer after you wash your face
Or you can use extra virgin olive oil as a lotion.
Water based moisturizer provides moisture without clogging your pores (don’t use creamy ones).
Extra virgin olive oil is good for getting rid of acne and provides moisture
(Just put a bit of it onto damp paper towel or a facial towel and pat onto skin; don’t put too much or else your face will feel greasy)
